Linda Young was born and raised in Texas. She graduated from TCU with BA degree in Interior Design, minor in Business Administration, with further studies in Civil Law, Computer Technology, Psychology, and Management. Her interests include art, design, music, travel, photography, sports and writing.
After graduation, Linda practiced at Anderson’s Studio of Dallas, renowned design studio of the South. She taught Interior Design at the college level for 8 years, creating and developing course work in Design Studio, Space Planning, Furniture Design, Light-Frame construction and Wholesale Trade Resources. She served as 20/20 software design specialist and produced AutoCAD drawing for custom kitchen cabinetry at a cabinet manufacturing company in Washington state.
A charter member of the American Society of Interior Designers, (ASID) Professional Level, Linda focused on space planning and remodeling with emphasis on architectural integrity. She continues to promote ASID and the professional Interior Design Industry. Linda moved to Steamboat in 1988, where she entered the exciting Ski and Hospitality Industry as a Travel Agent, PSIA-RM staff and Concierge.
An adventurer at heart, Linda embarked on a Journey of self-discovery in the late 1990’s with her dog Goldie. They crisscrossed the US and Canada for 3 years, living and working in unique locations and adding 40,000 miles to her SUV. During her travels, Linda worked as a Blackjack Dealer in two tribal casinos, honoring her life-long appreciation of the American Indian culture and revealing intriguing behind-the-scenes views of the Gaming Industry.
She’s retired and makes her home in Steamboat Springs, spending time with family and friends and enjoying new adventures.
