MARY TAYLOR YOUNG, has been writing about wild places and wild things of Colorado and the West for over 30 years. She was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Colorado Authors League in 2020 and inducted into the First Authors’ Hall of Fame in the United States in 2019. Her writing celebrates landscape, wildlife and heritage. If you are a nature lover you may have one of her 18 books or field guides on your book shelf.

JENNY SHANK, faculty in the Regis University Mile-High MFA program and at Lighthouse Writers Workshop, is a journalist, essayist, fiction and creative nonfiction writer. She grew up in Denver. Among her many awards, her short story collection Mixed Company won the George Garrett Fiction Prize. Her novel The Ringer won the High Plains Book Award in fiction and three of her stories were nominated for the Pushcart award.
